Local Sponsor: For every business, you need a local sponsor, legally holding 51% holding in the company. However, you can still own the business completely with a side agreement and pay a fixed sponsorship amount to the local sponsor. That's the way business is done here. You need to have a business plan, obtain license from the local government by submitting this plan for doing business. All the income is tax free.

Free Zone Company: One can set up a Free Zone Company is one of the several free zones which have come up in the UAE and other parts of gulf. You can own your company 100% in such a case. The Free Zone becomes your sponsor.
