Anniversary of Business Forum- 10th June 2005

Dear all,

Thanks for your active participation during the networking/ meeting held on 10th June, 2005 at Al Futtaim Training Center. It was indeed a great pleasure to meet, listen and feel proud about the celebrities, entrepreneurs and professionals amongst us. The time was short for all of us to speak, but following is the synopsis of presentation made by few of us.

Congratulations to Manoj Patil for taking initiative to launch the First Marathi Radio Channel  AM-1152. Manoj, your presentation was well received and as Mr. Bolan said at the end, we wish you grow to become a significantly big business entity in the world of media and communication. Manoj has already thought of an unorthodox product mix, we are sure it will appeal the audience to a large extent in the middle east. Great initiative Manoj, best wishes from all of us.

It was great to listen to Dr. Mandar’s journey to launch the site www.cinemasangeet.com. The site has come up nicely from the design perspective. It will reach to its intended audience over a period of time. As discussed, we expect a progression of Content – Community and Commerce to take place in the evolution of this initiative and a lot of off-line interaction should take place between the site visitors/audience, artists and media personalities. Our best wishes are with you Dr. Mandar.

Chirantan Joshi has started the journey on fulfilling his dream to become the entrepreneur in logistics business. His previous experience, dedication, carefully chalked out strategy and urge to win will certainly make him a successful entrepreneur, we have no doubt. We wish him all the best.

Sanjeev Phadke highlighted his achievements in the metal trading business. Sanjeev, if you keep interacting with us, we are sure you will improve your Marathi language ability, which anyway is not a handicap in our forum. You did mention, Dr. Manisha Phadke, your wife, would like to participate in our next networking meeting and tell us about her passion of lifestyle management. She is most welcome and cordially invited to the forum.

Shirish Patwardhan and Dr. Sawant highlighted their quest for setting up fabrication project or a chemical manufacturing project. We feel proud to have such a talent amongst us. The forum can certainly provide all possible support through its members, for achieving your dream destination. Please count on it.

Vasant Lad narrated his 25 years experience in this region and how he set up the Accounting Firm over a period of time. Mr. Lad, we are aware that BLS is already on growing positively with under your leadership and professional guidance. We would be benefited with your professional experience and would like you to participate actively in the forum activities.

Sujay Patil and Mahesh Shukla (please pronounce it is Shukl  and not Shuklaa), the bankers with illustrious professional background and working in the most happening  industry of banking and finance, especially related to precious metal, bullion and diamond trade, explained how they reached the position, from simple family background.  Your achievements are lauded Mahesh and Sujay. We don’t know if you would ever take step to become entrepreneurs yourself, but your guidance and support could prove very useful to upcoming entrepreneurs amongst us. Sujay did mention if anyone wants to migrate to Canada, he would be happy to guide him.

Anil Dani highlighted quickly his professional experience in this region. Mr. Dani, as a General Manager of a growing trading set up, we are aware you are skillfully and quietly leading the transformation and building of the company, which itself is an entrepreneurial venture. Hope over a period of time, you build necessary support systems to take a step to set up an independent venture yourself. Through your excellent nature, network and professional background, we are sure you must be planning it meticulously and we wish you all the best for the same.

Prasanna Gode, the young but talented and dynamic techno-entrepreneur, briefly touched upon his project management and structural engineering background. Prasanna, we are aware you have handled and you are handling very large structural engineering projects successfully. You are resourceful enough to leverage on the platform of forum and the expertise available within the group, which we hope will help you in becoming a techno-entrepreneur soon.

The time was too short for all of us to speak. Ashok Vartak, Jayant Joshi, Vilas Nargund, Vikram Lele, Dr. Nimkhedkar, Uday Bolan and Sandeep Kadwe, who could not narrate their background, are the founding members of the forum and all are welcome to contact any one of us for any information/ support you may need in future.
